Key Coding Instructions

Apollo 2002 Touchkey Immobiliser

KEY CODING INSTRUCTIONS

WITH ORIGINAL TOUCH KEY AND IGNITION KEY

·       Each APOLLO 2002 Immobiliser can learn to read 12  Touch Keys in total.

·       Each Immobiliser has 1,048,576 code variants which are random selected.

·       The unit has built in Anti- Scan automatic shut down for 30 seconds if a wrong key/code is detected.

                               Procedure

  Quick

1.         Disarm the immobiliser with the original touch key and remove from socket

        In / out

2.         Turn acc/ignition on

        On

3.         Insert original touch key in socket and remove

         In / out

4.         Turn acc/ignition off

         Off

5.         Put original touch key in socket and remove.

         In / out

6.         Turn acc/ignition on for one short “chirp” which   means you can start coding

         On

7.         Insert new touch key in socket long “chirp” means this      key is now coded

       In / out

8.         Remove new coded key from socket. Further keys can be coded up to a total of 12 within 15 seconds or turn acc/ignition off. The number of “chirps” that follow indicates the number of keys now coded.

For coding out a lost or stolen key just programme a new key 11 times this will leave your existing key and only the new one coded. The lost/stolen key will be programmed out and unusable. You should hear only 2 chirps when you turn the acc/ignition off.

       Off

N.B.  The Apollo 2002 is time sensitive for security reasons therefore:-

1.  Procedures nos.                 1 - 5 must be performed within 10 seconds

2.  Procedures nos.                 6 - 8 must be performed within 15 seconds

3.  In the event of error the Apollo 2002 will require 20 seconds to re-set before the above process can re-commence.

Helpful hints: clean both original touch key and socket contacts. Use a key in each hand with the original touchkey removed from the ignition key ring. Leave ignition key in ignition barrel during coding. Have a watch with sweep second hand next to you.
